Welcoming guests

There are so many ways that you can make your guests feel welcome to your holiday rental. The majority of people now supply some form of welcome pack and there are no hard and fast rules. As a holiday home owner you always have to bare costs in mind and it is surprising how it all adds up over a year so it is always up to you the owner if and what you choose to do, here are a few pointers for you…
- Try and keep recycling in mind – use a dry fill for tea, coffee and sugar instead of pre-packaged, this is also more cost effective.
- Milk – use a refillable glass bottle to replenish, this will save on plastic usage/waste and again more cost effective.
- Fresh flowers – you can either pick your own or buy, but its always a nice way to welcome your guests.
- Welcome hamper – so many local companies now supply these and we have several options included on our website in the local services section.
- Wine, champagne etc – who doesn’t like this 😉
- Toiletries – use refillable containers and try and use locally sourced or eco friendly products. This again is a cost effective way to help reduce plastic usage/waste.
- Information folder – this is one of the most underrated items when setting up a holiday home, but in my many years experience if done well, it saves everyone alot of stress, time and call outs 😉
The golden rule in being a good holiday home owner and host is simple – always leave everything how you would want to find it if you were arriving on holiday.
