Barn Cottage a luxury coastal home close to Constantine Bay in Cornwall

Barn Cottage – A blend of modern Cornish design and Seaside Chic, you’ll instantly fall in love when you arrive. Although the properly is large enough to easily accommodate 6 people, we often find that couples like to book it for shorter stays from September through to May for a romantic getaway and a base to explore Cornwall.

Renovated with a keen eye for detail with a private garden, log burner and central heating. A spacious master bedroom with king bed, twin room and an annex with a king size bed and shower room. Ideally located 1 mile from beautiful Constantine Bay and 3 miles from Padstow. Outside there is a generous private garden with a lawn and private patio, and log store.

The space…
Through the front door there is an oak framed entrance and stunning staircase. A hallway gives access to the bedrooms on the ground floor.

The master bedroom features a king sized bed and en-suite with bath over shower and underfloor heating. French doors open directly out onto the slated patio.

The twin bedroom is next door to the downstairs bathroom with walk in shower.

Just a few metres form the front door is the annex, which has a king sized bed, television and shower room, it’s ideal for some guests who may need a little extra privacy, or members of the family that like their own space.

Up the oak staircase and you will arrive in the generous kitchen diner. This gorgeous kitchen has a range cooker, dishwasher, Belfast sink, large fridge freezer and a washer/dryer. The stunning reclaimed elm dining table easily seats up to 6 guests.

Adjacent to the kitchen down 2 small steps is the cozy lounge. This room really is very special with a feature stone wall and wood burner, beautiful furnishings and a smart tv.

For anyone looking for somewhere that is that extra bit special for your Cornish holiday you won’t be disappointed with this property.

Additional information…
During the summer months we accept week long bookings with changeover’s on Monday.
Breaks of 3 nights or more are available from September- April avoiding Friday and Saturday changeovers.

Parking…
There is parking for 2 cars, off the road directly outside the property and the Newquay to Padstow bus passes the house giving simple travel to Padstow, Newquay and many areas and beaches in between, which saves on traffic in peak periods and is definitely cheaper and easier than parking!

The location…
Towan is a small hamlet between St Merryn and Constantine Bay. Perfect for a walk to one of the beautiful beaches or to the village of St Merryn to one of Rick Stein’s gastro pubs for supper.
The beaches are beautiful sandy bays, great for surfing, swimming, crabbing in the rockpools or relaxing in the dunes.

Getting around…
The bus passes the house so access to Newquay, Padstow or the local beaches is easy and in the summer season saves the stress of car parking, especially in Padstow – ask nicely and the driver will drop you at the door!

Other things to note
Please note – Although our WiFi is good, it does not reach the bedroom annexe but is available throughout the house. We are very close to the coast and hence, in peak holiday periods the network may not be up to full speed if a lot of devices connect at the same time.
In May 2021 we updated to the very best and fastest service available which has eliminated most of the issues but this is a consequence of a rural/coastal location!!
I often work from the cottage and attend online meetings without a problem.
