‘Little Towan’ is a characterful and well-equipped cottage on the North Cornwall coast, within easy reach of the area’s best beaches.
A Semi detached holiday rental cottage. Sleeps eight in two doubles, one twin and one bunk room. Beautiful Private garden with barbecue and outside dining. Dog friendly. Off street parking. Walk to Constantine and Trevose Golf Club.
There is a large, open plan, ‘L’ shaped sitting room with plenty of seating and an open fireplace. French doors open out onto the private garden with long uninterrupted views, a great place for an evening drink or barbecue.
The kitchen at the heart of this delightful house has a large table seating up to ten people and plenty of work surfaces and storage, including a Victorian dolls house full of glasses. There is a gas cooker with electric hob, dishwasher, fridge and freezer, food processor and Nespresso machine.
There are four bedrooms on the first floor; two with king size beds, one twin with a Juliet balcony overlooking the garden, and a bunk room. Original stripped pine doors and original artwork add character and charm.
There are two upstairs bathrooms, one with a shower and the other with a large corner bath and shower over. Hot water comes from a combi-boiler so you should never run out of hot water just because you were last in the queue.
Outside is a utility room with sink, washer and tumble dryer along with a large wet room room to wash sandy bodies and wetsuits.
Little Towan, in the hamlet of Towan, lies midway between St Merryn and Constantine Bay. Click here to open a Google map link in a separate window. It is within walking distance of local shops and the golf club at Trevose Head. It lies within easy reach of the famous seven bays, with a fantastic variety of beaches and surfing conditions. You can join the coastal footpath and walk as far as your energy will take you.
St Merryn offers a selection of shops and two pubs including Rick Stein’s Cornish Arms and picturesque Padstow is ten minutes’ drive away, with a wide selection of shops, some superb restaurants and the harbour for boat trips including the regular ferry across the estuary to Rock.
‘Little Towan’ is a great base for exploring Cornwall at any time of year, with longer day trips including the Eden Project, the art galleries of St Ives, an adventure park at Flambards or the mysteries of Tintagel offering something for everyone.

Retired married man. I have been visiting the St Merryn area for the last eighty years and drinking in The Cornish Arms for slightly longer than has been legal. We lived in our cottage in Towan for a time and now rent it to visitors during the summer while returning to it ourselves in the darker months.
