Welcome to 56 Merope – our beloved family owned holiday home located in St Merryn Holiday Village. We are located just a few minutes from the village of St Merryn and the glorious beaches of the Seven Bays, only 3 miles from Padstow and Newquay just 7 miles away.

Perfect for a family or couples getaway at any time of year, with seven great beaches just a short drive away for surfing, fun and coastal walks. A wonderful Restaurant called The Venue is within walking distance catering for everyone and many local shops, pubs and things to do nearby.

We prefer to accept weekly bookings running from Friday to Friday but are happy to consider other days and options preferably out of peak season.

Our quirky holiday home is based on a Dutch barn design and features ‘upside down’ living sleeping 6 comfortably in 2 double beds and bunk beds downstairs and an open plan living area with balcony and fully fitted kitchen area upstairs.

There are lovely large windows looking towards the coast across rural fields making the balcony the perfect sundowner spot to watch the sunset after a fun day exploring one of the many surrounding beaches of the area.

Downstairs the 3 bedrooms consist of 1 double with ensuite; 1 double and 1 single with bunk beds with the main family bathroom.
(FYI there are wardrobes in both double bedrooms but none in single room)

The Ensuite has a shower, basin and toilet and the main bathroom has a shower over the bath, basin and toilet.

Upstairs: There is an open plan living area/lounge, dining area and a Fully fitted kitchen with Gas oven and hob; fridge freezer; dishwasher; toaster and microwave plus everything you will need for your stay provided. A separate WC, Storage cupboard. Boiler cupboard with a washing machine and Balcony with seating.

Outside to the front there is private Parking for 2 cars overlooking a grassed area with Rotary washing line.

Please note: The Rear of the property is normally out of bounds as there is another balcony but has a spiral staircase which is not to be used for health and safety reasons. The Shed has personal belongings and is locked.

We are happy to accept one dog per booking – please get confirm size/breed etc but we do request that you do not allow them on the furniture/beds thank you.

There is currently no WiFi in the property – we usually use our own phone data and have a chrome cast stick in the back of the TV which can go through mobile phone to log on to a guest’s own Netflix etc… We do however have the old fashioned way with a DVD player and lots of DVDs!! 😉

I love Cornwall and have visited for many years to North Cornwall (initially Hayle and Polzeath) with my boys growing up who discovered a passion for surfing. We would generally stay in caravans but then found this house in 2015, fell in love with it instantly and also discovered the Seven Bays area for the first time! Amazed by their proximity and scenic coastline together with St Merryn village having an array of restaurants and pubs not forgetting being close to Padstow! So relaxing here, always sad to leave and eager to return and now share with other like minded people looking for a holiday home to stay.
